The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) has announced its new members: Netgear, a provider of networking products, and Megapixel VR, a developer of custom LED displays and video processing technologies.
“We couldn’t be more excited to add Netgear and Megapixel VR as our newest members,” said Andrew Starks, AIMS Board Member and Director of Product Management for Macnica. “Together, the two companies bring deep expertise in using IP in a wide range of applications, from mobile solutions to large-scale displays for iconic venues and events. They will help us foster the adoption of intellectual property in new markets. »
“With the set of IPMX open standards and specifications offered by AIMS to become the core of new IP infrastructure deployments across the Pro AV industry, the timing couldn’t be better for Netgear to join the ‘alliance,” said Laurent Masia, director of product management for managed switches at Netgear. “We are no strangers to IP video in these environments and look forward to seeing how we can tackle interoperability challenges in the Pro AV ecosystem together.”
“We are thrilled to be at the forefront of bringing IPMX to the LED display industry,” said Scott Blair, Vice President of Product/Project Management at Megapixel VR. “With IPMX’s lightweight requirements, it greatly simplifies implementation and provides a solid foundation for interoperability. We are excited to partner with AIMS to bring technology to new markets and drive innovation for our customers’ projects.
