Los Angeles – Honda unveiled its new virtual reality (VR) design studios located in Los Angeles, highlighting the company’s use of advanced virtual and mixed reality technology to accelerate the development of new vehicles. The video provides insight into the advanced technology used by Honda designers to create the future of mobility, including electric vehicles (EVs).
Honda’s VR design teams leveraged the latest VR technology to visualize and collaborate on the design of the upcoming 2024 Honda Prologue all-electric SUV. The use of VR visualization has been key in overcoming the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 and enable its designers in the United States and Japan to work together effectively.
Mathieu Geslin, Honda VR Design Manager, said the company is committed to exploring the full potential of virtual and mixed reality at its development centers globally.
