Our iPhone is now glued to our existence and with us wherever we go. Still, it’s a little worrying to know that these smartphones can track you at all hours of the day and night, even when you don’t want them to.
It’s incredibly creepy when you’re using your Maps app or another GPS app, and your phone suggests frequent places you’ve been, like your home address, a friend’s house, or your workplace.

How does my iPhone track my frequent locations?
Apple has given its iPhone devices a special feature called Important locations. These places are usually the ones you visit most often.
This feature is enabled by default and is intended to help you keep track of all the places you have visited most frequently.
While you may consider this a valuable feature that you enjoy using, I understand that not everyone wants to be tracked at all times of the day, and some prefer to keep the places you visit private, even from your own devices. Focused on privacy, Apple allows us to have better control to disable significant locations.
